Financial expressions of support for the Lafayette League and its local mission are always welcome. Although the League is a non-profit, non-partisan organization contributions to the League of Women Voters are not deductible as a personal or business expense for tax purposes. However, donations made to the League of Women Voters of Louisiana Education Fund are tax deductible. Such donations are used for activities such as voters guides and grants for purely educational activities.

Any contributions made to the League of Women Voters of Lafayette will be used to sustain its operations, voter education activities, membership recruitment, and the production of materials for study and action taken on issues. The Lafayette League’s income is derived from dues, members’ inkind donations, fundraisers and donations by concerned citizens.
